Carolyn Farley

Associate, Investments

Carolyn is an associate at Omidyar Network where she helps to evaluate new investment opportunities and guide investment and portfolio management processes.

Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Carolyn spent four years in South Africa working with two Echoing Green fellows. Most recently, she served as a portfolio manager at the Awethu Project. In this role, she sourced and completed diligence on new investments while acting as a strategic advisor and operations manager within five portfolio companies.

Previously, Carolyn was chief of staff to Fred Swaniker at African Leadership Academy, where she led the development of the annual organization-wide operational planning and budgeting process. Carolyn has also served as an analyst with Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management.

Carolyn received her MBA and certificate in public management and social innovation from Stanford University. She earned a B.A. from Princeton University.
