Salmana is an associate based in Omidyar Network’s London office, where she works with the firm’s Governance & Citizen Engagement initiative to perform due diligence and landscape analysis for potential investments and to support investment execution and portfolio management processes.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Salmana worked as a senior programme manager at the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, where she co-managed the production of the Ibrahim Index of African Governance, developed the strategy for the Ibrahim Forum, and supported the research, drafting, and publication of the Ibrahim Forum Facts & Figures reports. She has also served as a consultant at the Open Data Institute, as an editorial assistant at Royal United Services Institute, and as deputy project manager at the Centre for Religion and Geopolitics.
Salmana studied at SOAS in London, earning a B.A. in development studies and politics and an M.A. in law, development, and globalisation.
