Eliza is an investment partner at Omidyar Network, where she leads the firm’s global strategy and investments in education technology and oversees education investments in Latin America.
Before joining Omidyar Network in fall 2011, Eliza was the chief lending officer at Calvert Foundation, where she was responsible for the management and growth of the foundation and its subsidiaries' more than $325 million in assets under management. Previously, Eliza managed Calvert Foundation’s international portfolio. Under her direction, that portfolio grew from $10 million to over $70 million in loans and equity investments outstanding in financial inclusion, education, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and water and sanitation. Earlier in her career, Eliza worked with the Corporation for Enterprise Development and the U.S. Agency for International Development, providing management consulting and investment services to development finance institutions in the United States, Latin America, South Asia, and North Africa. Eliza also helped found MFX Solutions and chairs its board of directors.
Eliza earned an MPP with concentrations in finance and program evaluation from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, as well as an A.B. in politics from Princeton University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
