Larry Cook

Head of Operations, Investments

Larry is head of operations for the Financial Inclusion initiative where he manages internal and external reporting, finance, and investment portfolio management processes.

Larry brings a deep background in technology, operations, and venture capital to his role. As an investment advisor and board member, he has worked with numerous portfolio companies spanning multiple stages, verticals, and business models to accelerate growth and scale to plan. Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Larry served as finance director for Intel Capital, where he managed equity investments and M&A strategy across the firm’s artificial intelligence, datacenter, and autonomous driving portfolios. In this role, Larry was responsible for evaluating investment proposals, creating valuation assessments, developing recommendations to the investment committee, and ensuring strategic alignment with Intel’s corporate goals and business unit objectives.
In previous roles at Intel, he was the finance business manager for Intel Sales & Marketing focusing on the firm’s Dell and HP multinational corporation teams. He has also provided strategic operations finance support for the Flash Memory group.
Prior to Intel, Larry served in a variety of regulated and deregulated roles across finance, IT, and energy delivery for FirstEnergy Corporation. 

Larry received an MBA with a focus on banking and finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
